Our Locations

Providence Veterinary Hospital & Clinic has two locations in Alameda, CA, just outside of Oakland, and a short drive from San Leandro, making us a convenient option for all. We are locally owned, independent, and not associated with a corporate chain or a multi-location pet store. Both locations offer full-service care and exceptional staff, so no matter which side of town you call home, you can expect the same top-notch care and boundless compassion for your pet. Plus, our locations are Cat-Friendly Practices and our staff is Fear Free Certified. These certifications mean we have special training in recognizing and alleviating stress in cats and dogs so they can have a happier and healthier visit with us.

Providence Veterinary Hospital – East End

Our original location, the Hospital, is located on the East End, in Downtown Alameda. Built in 1947 under the original veterinarian’s own house, the hospital remains unchanged — except for all our modern remodeling and the latest technology and equipment, of course!

Providence Veterinary Clinic – West End

Our second location in Alameda's West End can be found on Webster Street. We offer the same fantastic services that you can find at the Hospital and also boast a modern facility with all the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
